The partnership will involve OnePLM supplying WSR’s multiple championship-winning team with the state-of-the-art Product Lifecycle Management software and services, Siemens design, data-management and collaboration tools; NX and Teamcenter, as well as providing training, best practise consultancy and automation to all staff to help them maximise effectiveness and performance.

The new partnership will involve OnePLM’s logos appearing on the Team BMW cars as well as on driver and team kit and will also include key figures from WSR acting as guest speakers at digital business forums during the year to showcase how they can increase effectiveness of WSR’s team in a highly-competitive environment.
The Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship’s 60th anniversary season kicks off at Brands Hatch on April 7-8 with WSR, who field drivers Colin Turkington and Rob Collard for Team BMW and Andrew Jordan for BMW Pirtek Racing, aiming to add to the six titles achieved by the BMW 125i M Sport in the past five years.
Dick Bennetts, Team Principal, said: “We’re very pleased to announce this partnership with OnePLM, who are experts in their field and provide a perfect match for WSR. Over the past year we’ve upgraded our hardware significantly and now, with the Siemens NX and Teamcenter platform supported by OnePLM’s expertise, we’re able to track everything from the shelf life of technical components on our BMWs, the status of new designs, all documentation and even staffing and logistics all on one platform that’s accessible to everybody, anywhere – including trackside. It’s the kind of system we’re extremely pleased to move on to and could potentially speed up our processes by three to four weeks across a calendar year.”
Mark Parry, Managing Director OnePLM, said: “We’re really excited to be part of such a successful team, bringing our experience gained over 10 years in Automotive and Transportation industries. This relationship will help showcase how these tools can be used in smaller teams with tight budgets and timescales through to the biggest OEMs. Utilising our experienced consultants, templates and automation skills to get results quickly, with minimal support is essential in this fast-paced environment. OnePLM and WSR have the opportunity to showcase their results on race days up and down the country.”
