Who's it for?

This course is the NX Experienced CAD user training course. The course is a transition to NX for Engineers/Designers who have experience of mechanical design using similar CAD systems i.e. Catia, Creo, Inventor, Solidworks, or a refresher for those with previous NX experience. The content of this course covers the same sections as NX Design Essentials at a more advanced level. Option to customise to suit customer requirements.

Course Agenda:

A Standard Course can be provided using the most common used modules. However, the course can also be included as part of a wider skills assessment to provide an entirely bespoke course including selecting from the modules below:

 

  • Associative Copies (Pattern/Mirror) plus: Advanced patterning functions

  • Creating sheet and solid bodies plus: Swept, Through Curves, Combine (NX12)

  • Edge operations (Fillets/blends & chamfers) plus: Advanced edge blends options, Face blend
  • Expressions (Working with parameters) plus: Inter-part expressions, Suppression by expression
  • Hole Features plus: Hole series
  • Introduction to sheet metal
  • Measuring plus: Measure extremes
  • Sketch
  • Synchronous Technology
  • Thin walled parts (moulded parts)
  • Trim operations
  • User Interface
  • Working with parts and assemblies

Minimum 6 months parametric 3D CAD experience.
