Consultant – ALM & Automation | Oxford, UK

We have a very exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team as an ALM & Automation Consultant, within the UK’s leading and only Platinum Siemens Digital Industries Software Partner. With over 1,200 customers in varying industries, departments, and maturity, OnePLM provides an excellent opportunity to be at the cutting edge of developments, underpinning the Design and Manufacturing business today.

You will be involved in all aspects of pre-and-post sales support of Siemens ALM tools with an emphasis on supporting the sales team in new business opportunities at OnePLM. In addition, you will be expected to be involved in aspects of post-sales deployment exploiting your technical knowledge and experience in software/hardware & requirements management.

Consultant – ALM & Automation | Responsibilities & Expectations

Key Responsibilities include:

– Assist the Automation Manager with estimates, detailed work breakdown structure, and enforcement of scope for projects
– Become a trusted advisor to the customer to steer customers and prospects towards OnePLM and Siemens Best Practice
– Authoring of functional specs to document all detailed implementation information for projects
– Support the Automation Manager on preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications
– Implementation tasks associated with customer ALM deployments
– Manage customer expectations across project cycles

Preferred Knowledge:

– Manufacturing sector experience/knowledge of:
– Hardware/software requirements management
– Business process and project management
– An appreciation of regulatory standards/certifications such as ISO26262, ISO9001
– Preferred experience with the design and implementation of ALM solution deployments
– Preferred knowledge of Siemens Polarion, Doors, JAMA, JIRA, Cognition Cockpit, PTC Integrity, Code Beamer, GitHub, etc
– Preferred experience with cloud/hosted environments such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services

We are recruiting for a Senior Consultant/s
Multiple positions / Levels available

Reporting to the Technical Manager or Principal Consultant, the Senior Consultant will be an experienced consultant, capable of delivering larger or more complex Teamcenter PLM deployments. You will be responsible for solution design, technical delivery and customer engagement as well as mentoring and guiding delivery consultants.

Senior Consultant Role Expectations
• Able to work with Sales Account Managers to demonstrate Teamcenter in its best light
• Knowledge of IT hardware and operating systems
• Application configuration control and deployment practices
• Self-starter, able to work from home and/or in the relevant OnePLM office
• Ability to travel and stay away (minimal) at customer sites
• Required to self-teach and develop utilising the latest philosophies and materials
• Want to make a difference and impart knowledge to others with varying backgrounds and skills
