Simcenter: The ANSYS Desktop for the NX & Solid Edge Design Environment

If your company is using NX or Solid Edge for design and ANSYS for FEA analysis, the chances are that the process between these two functions is still hindered by interoperability issues, difficulty simplifying and preparing CAD for analysis, delays in feeding back analysis for design refinement and ultimately then driving the resulting geometry back into the design group.

Siemens have developed the Simcenter environment for ANSYS specifically in response to help customers suffering with these bottlenecks

Simcenter ANSYS gives the engineer a complete pre-post environment specific to ANSYS whilst remaining inside the synchronous Design Environment. The environment immerses you in familiar ANSYS language for element definitions, loads and boundary conditions, solution parameters and other common nomenclature. In addition to defining model capabilities, the ANSYS environment provides bi-directional import/export capabilities that enable you to import its current or legacy data files and results, as well as export run-ready ANSYS input data files.

This 30 minute Webinar will give participants an overview of how that process works within the Simcenter environment so they can see it’s ability to build, initiate solve and then post process ANSYS results.

This is the first in a series of webinars aimed towards our NX & Solid Edge users whose analysis groups are using standalone software outside of that environment, this includes LS-Dyna, MSC Nastran and Abaqus.

Who is it for?
